A strong start for bio-based collaboration

The first Bio-Based Pathways #1: NextGen Materials – Sustainable by Design webinar brought together a growing community around bio-based innovation and cross-sector collaboration.

More than 60 participants joined the session, and over 80 people registered for follow-up B2B meetings, a clear signal of interest in connecting ideas with concrete partnerships and next steps.

Exploring the perspectives shared during the session

Below, you can explore the perspectives shared during the session.

Yunquian Wang, CO2BIOCLEAN – Converting waste carbon into Natural Biopolymers.

Nydia Badillo, HELIAN POLYMERS – Helian Polymers: Nature creates the raw material, we create the perfect blend.

Izabela Irska, WEST POMERANIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY – Synthesis, structure and properties of furan-based condensation polymers.

Avinash R. Pai, STOCKHOLM UNIVERSITY – Hemp Residues to Sustainable Packaging Materials.

Assunta Marrochi, THE UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI PERUGIA – Enabling sustainable bio-based polymers from brewers’ spent grain: a green chemistry approach to building blocks.

Miguel Carmona, UNIVERSITY OF CORDOBA – Disruptive Technologies and Circular Solutions for Biopolymers, Recycled Polymers and Composites.

Alexandru Sarbu, SOPREMA – Bio-based Materials for the Building Envelope.

Pablo R. Outón, INDRESMAT – From Used Cooking Oil to High-Performance Building Materials INDRESMAT’s bio-based polyurethane platform for the building envelope, within HIBISCUS.

Building connections beyond projects

This first webinar was made possible through collaboration with three complementary projects and initiatives, POLYMEER, BIO-LUSH, and HIBISCUS, a strong example of how shared ambition can create wider impact across the bio-based innovation landscape.

If one of these perspectives connects with your work, opens a new question, or points towards future cooperation, we invite you to continue the conversation.
